Ed Schafer
Ed graduated from The Citadel Honors Program with a B.S. in Biology and minor in Psychology. He graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law with a Juris Doctorate. He served as a lawyer lobbyist for a wide variety of statewide associations in South Carolina for 18 years.
He is a Pavillon alumnus, a Certified Peer Support Specialist, and is the Founder of Joyful Justice, a non-profit helping lawyers struggling with substance use disorders through service, advocacy, and connection. He worked for 2 years as a Life Coach in a Recovery Program at a Rescue Mission in Columbia, SC.
He is passionate about using his personal recovery experience and professional experience building relationships to help others find recovery through Pavillon and help build relationships amongst fellow alumni. He resides in Columbia, SC and has a son, daughter, dog, and cat.
