A Recovery Path Designed for Young Men
Where Independence Meets Accountability, and Healing Begins
Young men today are navigating a complex world. One filled with academic pressures, family expectations, social media comparisons, and easy access to substances. It’s easy for experimentation to spiral into dependence. At Pavillon, we understand that addiction in young adulthood often masks deeper issues: identity confusion, emotional overwhelm, trauma, or a struggle to find purpose.
Our Young Men’s Program is built to meet these challenges with empathy, structure, and support. We do not ask young men to give up their futures to get well. Instead, we help them reclaim their lives, one step at a time.
What Makes Our Program Different
Our specialized 6-week treatment track focuses on the unique developmental, emotional, and social needs of young men ages 18–25. Through a highly personalized approach, we help them:
- Rebuild self-trust and emotional resilience
- Learn healthy ways to handle anger, stress, and social pressure
- Strengthen decision-making skills around education, career, relationships, and independence
- Develop meaningful goals and a renewed sense of direction
- Connect with recovery communities tailored for young adults
We often coordinate with colleges, universities, and collegiate recovery programs to ensure young men can continue their education without sacrificing their recovery.
Recognizing the Signs
If your son, friend, or family member is struggling, you may be noticing:
- Mood swings or irritability
- Withdrawal from school, sports, or hobbies
- Sudden changes in friendships
- Sleeping problems
- Asking for or stealing money
- Confused, inconsistent, or risky behavior
These behaviors may be symptoms of a substance use disorder, but they don’t define your loved one. With the right care, change is possible.
Comprehensive Care That Builds a Foundation
Young men in our program are supported by a multidisciplinary team that includes:
- On-site detox and medical stabilization (if needed)
- 24/7 nursing care
- An addiction medicine psychiatrist
- Two PhD-level clinical psychologists
- A full-time spiritual care coordinator
- Licensed individual therapists
- Ongoing support from our Alumni Services team
Each piece of our care model is designed to address the barriers to recovery young men often face—immaturity, avoidance, emotional suppression, or a lack of direction—and turn those into opportunities for growth and self-awareness.
Aftercare That Matches Their Goals
Recovery doesn’t end after treatment. That’s why we start planning for what comes next from day one. Your loved one will leave with:
- Daily coping tools and relapse prevention strategies
- A clear continuing care plan
- Support that aligns with their personal goals—academic, athletic, vocational, or spiritual
- Ongoing access to Pavillon’s support network, including you as their family
Sobriety in early adulthood can mean missing out on old friend groups or social events, but it also opens the door to building something better. We help young men discover passions, purpose, and a sense of meaning that makes long-term recovery possible and desirable.
